SĒĒR wants this site to be usable by as many people as possible, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or reduced-motion settings.

Where we actually stand

We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We have not had this site independently audited, and we are not claiming full conformance. Saying otherwise without a test behind it would be worth nothing to anyone relying on it.

The honest position is that parts of this site meet that standard and parts do not. The known gaps are listed below rather than left for you to discover.

Known issues

  • The homepage has an autoplaying background video with no visible pause control.
  • Several decorative elements animate continuously, including a scrolling origin ticker, and do not currently respond to the operating system's reduced-motion preference.
  • Some secondary and caption text uses low-opacity colours and small sizes that are likely to fall below the AA contrast ratio.
  • Some imagery changes from greyscale to colour on hover, which is a mouse-dependent interaction.
  • Form field validation messages have not been tested with a screen reader.

These are being worked through. If something here is blocking you specifically, say so and it moves to the top of the list.

If you cannot use part of this site

Email hello@seerspecialtycoffee.com and tell us what you were trying to do and what got in the way. Include the page address if you can. We aim to reply within five working days.

If you need information from this site in another format, ask and we will send it. There is no separate process and no form to fill in first.

Standards we are planning against

The European Accessibility Act sets accessibility requirements for consumer e-commerce services across the EU. SĒĒR is pre-trading and does not sell online yet. We are treating those requirements as the target for the shop before it opens, rather than something to retrofit afterwards.
